Subject:Reports: can't remove "undead" data source in SS2010 Author:Michael Beckius Date:23 Aug 2010 05:56 PM
I'm wondering if I've encountered a bug in Stylus Studio...
Somehow my report project appears to have permanently linked to a particular data file. I've deleted the actual file, and also commanded the removal of the file as a data source. But everytime I open the project the datasource file reappears. Whenever I hit Preview, the data from the unwanted file is presented. I'd rather be prompted for a new data source! I've tried deleting all scenario information (not that I consciously set up any scenarios). The only information as to data sources I want to keep is the schema I have set as the default data source.

Hello Ivan:
I’ve attached the project file, the schema, a sample data file, and a JPEG screen shot of the error I get upon opening the project. I have NOT attached the file Stylus Studio keeps complaining about not finding! If I delete this file reference from the “other docments” tree in the project window, it shows up again the next time I open the project. Also, it insists on the “undead” file for sample data when I try to do a preview.
