seth wbSubject: trying to sort a list of articles into an archive format, 3 of each type in its own div...

Hello I have a page pulling in 50+ articles on a page and i need to use XSLT to display only the top 3 for each "type" and sort those 3 of each type into their own div on the page, this is what I'm going for so far, but I haven't been able to figure out the "only select the first 3" part... can anyone help point me in the right direction?
