Author: John Witbeck

I have an XML file created from a SQL database and I want to convert it to an 837P file. What is the best way to do this?

Thanks

John

The DataDirect XML Converters shipped with Stylus Studio will help
you, or you can license them separately for use outside of Stylus Studio.

To build the mapping from your XML to what the converter expects, use
the File->Document Wizards->EDI to XSD wizard to create an XML schema
that represents the structure the convert is expecting, and then use the
XQuery mapper to map from your source XML to the target.

This will build the XQuery for you (or you could do XSLT if you wish),
and then in the target prefix the output filename with converter:EDI
and it should all work.

If you have any further questions, there are videos on stylusstudio.com
for the specific steps, or we will be available here.

May I ask if all HIPAA 4010 and 5010 templates are included in the Enterprise version?

They are included in the XML Converters 5.0 package, which is included
in Stylus Studio 2010, so yes.
