Robert LeifSubject: Parser for XML Schema 1.1

Bob Leif

Do you have a parser for schema 1.1? I am particularly interested in being able to restrict a complexType that was created in one schema and imported into a second schema. If I can restrict the imported complexType, I will have the equivalent of a template or a generic. The new All element would also be useful.
Thank you.

Hi Bob,
if you need a schema validator able to process a 1.1 schema, you may use the latest Xerces-J as a custom validator.
Unfortunately Stylus Studio will not allow you to graphically design the new constructs defined in the specs.

What about 1.1 support now with the latest version in August, 2010? I'm particularly interested in the <alternative> tag that lets you specify an element type based on an attribute value. If you don't support this yet in the graphical design tool, do you have a suggested workaround in XSD 1.0?
