Matt AdamsSubject: How to reset JVM (to another java installation) ? jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
Author: Matt Adams

For certain operations I need a Java installation.

Stylus Studio seems to have lost the link to java installation resp. the jave installation is not always available because of network problems resp. the old java installation is currently replaced by another version in another directory.

However I am getting an error popup from StylusStudio 2008:

"The JVM initialization failed with a fatal error:
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)"

How EXACTLY can I tell StylusStudio which JVM it should use?

If this is not the problem: What is otherwise the reason for the error above?

Hi Matt,
the JVM can be selected in the Tools | Options -> Java Virtual Machine property page

Hope this helps,
Alberto
