Vic LeeSubject: XML Publisher bug: table column widht attribute always has "pt"
Author: Vic Lee

Hi,

We are trying to use "mm" (mili-meters) to set the table column width, but unfortunately XML publisher always append "pt" in the generated XSLT file. This totally mess up the layout when rendering the output in FOP.

Please help to fix this. Thanks!

Vic

Hi Vic,
unfortunately Publisher only handles length using points or percentage; in order to specify a different measure unit you should enter it in the XPath subproperty, like '10mm'

Hope this helps,
Alberto

Hi Alberto,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I think the publisher should append "pt" only when the user enters a digit only.

Personally, I think using XPath is just a workaround, because most users are already familar with lots of other options like "2in", "10mm", etc, and this is even already supported in page size setting.

Vic
