ignatius monthy wangsahardjaSubject: Custom XML conversion

Hi all,

I'm a complete newbie to stylus studio .. Just want to ask about how to convert this to xml:

abc;abcd;abcde

I know how to map abc to field1 abcd to field2 abcde to field3
My problem lies on how to set a minimum/maximum length of each field.

I want to validate the length of each field.

eg:

Suppose field1 is 3 characters wide
field2 is 1 to 10 characters wide
field3 is 5 to 10 character wide

Any suggestion for this?

Thanks alot in advance

Monthy

The purpose of Custom XML Converters is simply to get the data
into XML.

In order to validate, you would want to create a schema that
matches the criteria you want, and add that schema reference
to the properties for that conversion.

Then you would use a separate step to actually do the validation.

The Pipeline tool is designed to let you combine discrete steps.
