Jan VerhoekSubject: Supressing subgroup headers in xslt 1.0
Author: Jan Verhoek
Date: 05 Dec 2008 06:55 PM
Hi,

I'd like to suppress sub groups in XSLT 1.0 like this:

<records>
<record>

Cat1

Sub1

item 1a

</record>
<record>

Cat3

Sub2

item 3b

</record>
<record>

Cat1

Sub1

item 1b

</record>
<record>

Cat2

Sub1

item 2a

</record>
<record>

Cat1

Sub2

item 1c

</record>
<record>

Cat2

Sub1

item 2b

</record>
<record>

Cat1

Sub2

item 1d

</record>
<record>

Cat3

Sub1

item 3a

</record>
<record>

Cat2

Sub2

item 2c

</record>
<record>

Cat3

Sub3

item 3c

</record>
<record>

Cat2

Sub2

item 2d

</record>
</records>

Now the output should be:

Cat1

Sub1

item 1a

item 1b

Sub2

item 1c

item 1d

Cat2

Sub1

item 2a

item 2b

Sub2

item 2c

item 2d

Cat3

Sub1

item 3a

Sub2

item 3b

Sub3

item 3c

Unfortunately the
elements will come in unpredictable.

I attached one of the an XSLT documents I experimented with. Hope you can help me out.

Thanks.
