First off I have build 1147f of Stylus Studio 2008 XML Enterprise Suite Release 2.

The only purpose of this product is to help me write and test xslt. I have found this product completely un-usable in this role. My data file is roughly a 6mb file. If I load this xml file, or if I transform it to simply verify the output Stylus becomes very sluggish and will eventually crash. The data is all valid. The stylesheet is valid. My application that uses these files works fine. I am unable to "Send Error" because I have no mapi client installed - what kind of absurd requirement is that. So I come here to put in a support ticket but there is no ticket system, just a forum - and none of them are support related.

So, how do you get support around here or how do you get your money back? For the price I expected more.

Hi Robert,

6 Mb XML is not very large. Which XSLT processor are you running?

Could you please send us a test case (XML and XSLT) at
stylus-field-report--@--progress.com ?

Thanks

Hi Robert,
the log file you sent us seems to suggest that an out-of-memory error occurred; can you try monitoring the memory usage of Stylus in the Task Manager to spot what operation made it jump too high? Also, how much RAM and swap file do you have on your machine?

Thanks,
Alberto

Hi Robert,
could you post a screenshot of the "Performance" page in the Task Manager at the time when the crash occurred?

Thanks,
Alberto
