I am working with Stylus Studio 2008 Professional Suite Release 2
(The crash also occurs in Stylus Studio 2008 Professional Suite Release 1)

Sometimes when editing an xquery file the system crashes when entering an '$' character on the next entered character.

A picture of the entered text in the attachement of this message aswell as the error message.
I entered "{}" and then I entered " let $x" when it crashed at the char x.

In this case it is impossible to work with Stylus Studio anymore, since any editing is not possible anymore it crashes always. Only editing by copying from Stylus Studio to any other editer, editing there and then replacing in Stylus Studio is possible.

The conditions when this crash occurs is not clear, but it seams that special characters as '$' and '(' etc. may be involved, aswell as the size of the xquery file may be involved.

If necessary I could mail you an xquery file where it is reproducable.

Hi Urs,
after the crash, were you asked to submit a crash report via mail?
In any case, if you could send your XQuery document to stylus-field-report@progress.com, it would help us a lot in finding the bug.
