While debugging stylesheets and viewing the Variables window, I noticed that the variable values repeat themselves. For instance, if I have variable $docType, and the value is "Word", the Variable window displays this as "WordWord". This happens for every variable displayed in the window.

Wondering if there's a way to have the variable value display only once. It's not a show-stopper bug, but it definitely slows things down when I'm trying to debug and need to check the values of various strings, integers, etc.

I'm using 2008 Professional Suite, and running Windows XP, SP2.

I've also tried changing the XSLT processor from Built-in to Saxon to .NETXslTransform, but that doesn't have any effect on the Variables window.

Hi, Alberto. Most of the variables are either strings or integers. I've attached a screenshot so you can get a look at what I'm seeing.

Hi Ron,
we can reproduce the problem only when using Saxon and displaying variables created with document tree fragments (e.g. with a declaration like <xsl:variable name="name">value</xsl:variable>), but not with the built-in or the .NET processor. Can you confirm that the problem is also present with these processors, and provide us a small test case to reproduce it?

Hello, Alberto. I can no longer reproduce the issue. It started happening when I was using 2007 Professional Suite Release 2. Then I updated to 2008 Professional Suite. At that point I was still having the duplicate values occur. Yesterday I noticed that after the 2008 install, 2007 was still installed as well, so I uninstalled 2007. This morning I've tested and cannot replicate the duplicate values, so my guess is that somehow 2007 continued to have an effect on it, even though I was running 2008. But now that 2007 is off my PC, the problem appears to be resolved.
