Hi Kris,
the generation of XML from an XSD is only available from the UI of Stylus Studio.

Hi Alberto,
Thank you for the quick reply. Too bad xsd to xml is only available from the UI. Since it can be done in the UI, it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to provide command line support. Any plans to ever do something like that in the future? Would it be beneficial to add the command line feature request to the Stylus Studio Feature Requests "conference"?

Hi Kris,
we never thought of exposing this functionality through a command line, because (apart the fact that nobody asked for it) usually the machine-generated XML is not really useful as a final product. The final XML contains either hardcoded strings or random choices taken from the schema, and can be thought of being just a jumpstart for an editing session. A command line tool is usually meant to mass produce XML files, and in this case we didn't see a fit. What is your use case? How are you planning to use this functionality from the command line?

Alberto
