I am trying to convert a csv and get an error "Can't encode 0x19 in Text", I do not understand how to proceed to resolve this issue. I tried to set 'EM' to toss, however then I get another exception. TIA -Keith-

Hi, thanks for your response. I created a new custom xml conversion with the wizard, leaving the defaults set. The source is csv from a database extract of a table. The data is double quoted strings, comma delims. Thanks. -Keith-
Is there any way you can send us a small test case that would
show the problem?
Somewhere in your input there is a 0x19. It could be something
as simple as the input encoding is set improperly, or the data
could actually have in it that character which isn't expressible
in XML. There might be a way to ignore that character, but what
way that is depends on where in the data the character is.
In the meantime, you could try adding it to the "trim left" and
"trim right" properties as well as "toss"...
If you are concerned about posting the sample here, you could send
it to our support email, stylus-field-report (at) progress.com.
