Hi, I am trying to use the Xquery for our dataextraction program. However, someone said Xquery will have performance issue when retrieving large amount of data. So, some consultant will try to recommend to use Groovy script and SQL to replace it. Did anyone have some experience on developing Xquery and also facing performance issue. Or how do yours due with that?.. Thx

The design principle behind DataDirect XQuery has always been since the beginning to make sure that its performances and scalability when dealing with relational data were as good as a well optimized combination of Java and SQL programming - but without having to worry about that.
