Hi,

I have the following problem.My xsl stylesheet has the following code inside:

<xsl:variable name="OrderItemType">
<xsl:call-template name="getItemType">
xsl:with-param name="ListOfReferenceCoded">
<xsl:copy-of select="ListOfItemReferences/ListOfReferenceCoded/ReferenceCoded"/>
</xsl:with-param>
</xsl:call-template>
</xsl:variable>
.....
.....

<xsl:template name="getItemType">
<xsl:param name="ListOfReferenceCoded"/>
<xsl:for-each select="$ListOfReferenceCoded/ReferenceCoded">
<xsl:if test="ReferenceTypeCodedOther = 'OrderItemType'">
<xsl:value-of select="substring(PrimaryReference/Reference/RefNum, 1, 1)"/>
</xsl:if>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:template>

The problem is that it generates the pdf 100% correct in stylus studio 2007 Enterprise edition, with the Saxon 8.9.0.3 processor and Apache FOP 0.20.5rc3a. But when we try to generate it with the JVM version 1.5 it fails to produce the pdf output.

Please help! Urgently

Thanks
Ferdinand

When you say fails to produce the pdf output, do you mean that the following value is not populated?

<xsl:value-of select="substring(PrimaryReference/Reference/RefNum, 1, 1)"/>

Also when using JVM 1.5 are you using the default XSLTC processor, or have you set it up to use Saxon?

Are you getting a specific error?
Are you using XSLT 2.0?
