Boss AtHomeSubject: Indent tags resolves NCRs in attributes
Author: Boss AtHome

2007 enterprise build 894m, WindowsXP

Why does Indent XML Tags resolve numeric character references in attributes in XML files? Is there any way to disable this?

Thank you,

Hi Sheila,
unfortunately the underlying XML parser decodes the entity references found inside attribute values without notifying to Stylus Studio, so they cannot be preserved.
Keep in mind that this behavior can also be seen when saving or making changes from a DOM-based view like Grid or Tree.

Sorry,
Alberto

Thank you, Alberto. Definitely not good news, I'm afraid. Am I correct that the "underlying XML parser" is something built into SS and not something that can be changed by a user configuration in the same way as the default XSL processor?

Hi Sheila,
you are correct; the integration between the XML parser and Stylus Studio is very tight, so it cannot be replaced.

Sorry,
Alberto
