Robert EnchelmaierSubject: Report editor automatic scrolling
Author: Robert Enchelmaier

I'm using build 894m of the XML Enterprise Suite, Release 2 on Windows XP SP2.

When I've scrolled to a position in a report so that the top of the report has scrolled off the screen and is no longer visible, strange things happen whenever I type, overtype, backspace, delete or insert XPath elements.

The report editor automatically scrolls back to the top of the report, the cursor stays at the same absolute screen position, and if I was in a text element its highlight border is shown at the top of the window (with nothing in it, just the border). If I continue to type regardless, the data goes into the correct location, even though I can't see what I am doing. If I scroll back down to where I was, the data and the cursor are all correct.

This wastes a lot of time to scroll back to where the cursor still knows where it is supposed to be and is driving my team crazy.

Thanks for reporting this; we'll take a close look at it and we'll ask for more details if needed.
