Dear Friends,

I'm new here.....please help in finding sub equation numbering in tex.

In tex we give equation nos. or authomatically it gives as 1,2,3 or 1.1, 1.2 this way ......in few problems, the equations continues with subequation......want to know how to give subequation nos.

For example if the equation continues till no 20....after 20 I want it to give as 20a.....20b......20c.....then again start with the next no as 21, 22,23. What should I do for this?

pl help

Hi Sweety,
when you say "in tex", do you mean the formatting language LaTeX? In this case I doubt somebody on this forum can help you, as it is focused on Stylus Studio and the languages it supports (XML, XSLT and XQuery).
You can have more chances by typing "tex equation numbering" in Google.

Hope this helps,
Alberto
