trevor gillhamSubject: XML feed to a txt file
Author: trevor gillham

Hello Everyone

This is my first time here, I have been reading through some posts trying to get an idea of a process I need to use for my website.

My website accepts property feeds from agents via .txt file that is uploaded to a url, please see example:
http://agents.europeanproperty(dot)com/docs/example-feed.txt

I have many agents who want to upload via XML feeds and of course they are all different, they all do use though the same neccessary fields for the properties ie country, beds, price, sale/rent etc, I have already mapped one feed to my spec, meaning for example:
Their beds = my bedrooms
Their ref = my agent ID.

Any help would be very much appreciated, I am not a programmer but really want to learn this otherwise its going to cost me a few hundred pounds each time an agent has an XML feed.

Thank you
Trevor

Hi Trevor,
you can use the XSL Mapper to visually build the proper links between the two layouts; have a look at the simpleMappings example in the Stylus Studio installation.

Hope this helps,
Alberto
