Josef SpidlenSubject: XML schema validation issue (type definitions with xsd:id)
Author: Josef Spidlen

Hi,

I have 3 XML schemas, A importing B+C and B importing C. All types and groups within these schemas have an ID assigned via the xsd:id attribute. This successfully validates in other tools such as <oXygen/>; however, Stylus Studio announces many errors when validating A or B stating that some IDs are not unique. They actually are unique so I believe the problem may be that the internal validator reads the files more than once? Is this a known issue with Stylus Studio 2007? Naturally, the problem disappears when the IDs are dropped; however, I would prefer keeping them and still being able to validate successfully. The schemas are attached to help tracing the problem.

Thanks,

Josef

Hi Josef,
sorry for the late reply; we have been able to reproduce your problem, that actually occurs inside the Xerces-C validation engine.

Thanks,
Alberto
