Leigh WaltonSubject: Attaching DB2 Database in File exploreer
Author: Leigh Walton
Date: 10 Sep 2007 03:40 PM
We've been struggling with access to a Workgroup version of DB2 version 8.1.0.96 on a Redhat Linux 2.4.9-e.25summit kernel. We can create packages (NULLID.DDJR360A, NULLID.DDJC360A, NULLID.DDJU360A, NULLID.DDJS360A, NULLID.DDJR360B, NULLID.DDJC360B, NULLID.DDJS360B, and
NULLID.DDJU360B) but only with userid db2inst1 (system administrator).
After the packages are created, no one but db2inst1 can "access' them using Stylus Studio. These packages have been "granted execute permission to public". Using evaluation version of XML Enterprise Suite, Release 2 (2007.

This was used to create packages:
jdbc:xquery:db2://192.160.xxx.xxx:50000;databasename=aipldb;createdefaultpackage=TRUE;replacepackage=TRUE

The following will not work for anyone but db2inst1:

jdbc:xquery:db2://192.160.xxx.xxx:50000;databasename=aipldb
