I would like to generate xsd documentation (wtih diagrams) as part of my build process.

does your product support this?

(if i can do it from cmd line, then i can do it via ant)

We use a modified form of XS3P. For more details, see

Modified form of XS3P allows inclusion of diagrams into documentation. How about generation of those diagrams, is it currently possible from command line?

No, the diagrams included in the documentation cannot be generated by command line.
