Geoffrey NuttingSubject: Upload file w/ topic

Hi,

Sorry about this question, but I'm new at this and I don't understand how to upload a screenshot (*.rtf) file with a message: When I check 'Attach File' & then hit 'Post' the system comes back to me & says to select the type of file (Iselected 'Unknown' & then Browsed for the name of the file); then hit 'Upload' & the system seems to just 'run around in circles
"waiting for stylusstudio.com" and eventually informs me that I had a 0 length document. (the attached file is somewhere in the vicinity of 5MB)

Thanks,

Jeff Nutting

Hi Jeff,
could you try attaching a smaller JPEG file? If that doesn't work, can you try with a different browser (IE vs Firefox)?

Thanks,
Alberto

Hi,

I made several attempts to upload files, all using IE & a smaller file (usually jpg as image, sometimes .txt as document). It was kind of looking like somehow the system never found the file it was supposed to uploadbecause I was seeing a message
'Uploading 0B to www.stylusstudio.com' as an original status in the progress window,
& then the title info in the 'progress window kept getting updated as
'0% Completed - Upload to www.stylusstudio.com'

(which probably would have continued forever if I hadn't cancelled the upload).

Hope this info is a little help.

Thanks,

Jeff Nutting

Geoffrey,
the picture seems to be uploaded; clicking on the link of the first message you wrote, I can see the front door of a school. Can you try uploading the screenshot of Stylus?

Alberto

Those frames are detachable, so it is quite probable that it has been
detached and is now somewhere off-screen. We've seen this happen before
- it can happen with the wrong mouse-click, or especially when someone
goes from a two-monitor setup to working off of a single monitor.

The simplest way to get it back (assuming this is the problem) is to
remove the docking window settings from the registry. Using regedit.exe,
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stylus Studio\2007 XML Enterprise Suite
Release 2 and remove any keys that start with "DockingWindows".
