Nick LockeSubject: Customising Schema Prefix
Author: Nick Locke

I am using the XML Schema to XML wizard to generate sample XML instance documents. All works well, except that I would like to be able to customise the output, so that rather than:

?xml version="1.0"?>
<p1:EnquiryRequest xmlns:p3="http://e....

I need:

?xml version="1.0"?>
<op:EnquiryRequest xmlns:ep="http://e....

Obviously I can achieve this by doing some global substitutions in Notepad after I have created the sample. It would be far easier if SS let me specify ahead of time. I'm sure there is a way and I am about to feel very stupid.......

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,
currently the XML instance generator doesn't expose a way to customize the namespace prefixes.

Sorry,
Alberto

Thanks Alberto - at least I now know that I wasn't missing something obvious. For now, I can live with cut/paste. Maybe a future release......

Thanks again.
