The diagram view for one particular XSD that I have been editing has disappear (I still have access to the diagram view for other XSDs). Instead of the options "Diagram / Tree / Documentation" at the bottom of the screen, I see "Text / Tree / Grid / Scheme". Cannot figure out how this happened or how to get the Diagram view back.

The file is being opened as a "normal" XML Document, rather than as an XML Schema file.

Is the namespace for your schema file properly defined, like in:
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

Thanks. That was the problem.
Funny thing is, when I use
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
I get an error (actually 40 errors) from the .NET XML Parser since the above URL doesn't point to the schema but rather some documentation.
So, I changed the URL to point directly to the actual schema i.e.,
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema.xsd and I guess that's what cause the Diagram view to disappear.

Hm... .NET XML Parser shouldn't (and it doesn't for me) complain when you validate against a schema using the "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" namespace URI; if it does, I guess it's actually reporting some legitimate error. "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" is the namespace URI that MUST be used when defining an XML Schema; http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema.xsd is a different thing; it's an XML Schema describing the XML structure of an XML Schema...

Must be some side-effect ...
Thanks for your help.
