Although this starts from an unsatisfactory source (see my previous post, http://www.stylusstudio.com/SSDN/default.asp?action=9&read=6642&fid=23 where the java binding class generation was incomplete), it is a start on converting the Java to C# using the Microsoft Java Language Conversion Assistant v3.0 for Visual Studio 2005.

The attached file shows numerous errors (nearly 300, so far). Not good!

I am not sure I understand the objection, we do not provide support for Microsoft JLCA.

If you need to generate C# classes from XSD I suggest to investigate the .NET built-in tool
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/x6c1kb0s(VS.71).aspx

Hope this helps

No criticism of Stylus Studio is implied.

This post is as much for the benefit of others who work in .NET as for myself, and not really for the helpful Progress Software people to "worry about".

I am simply reporting that I am trying to get to C# code by the only available means at present, other than using JNI or Web Services, via the java code that was generated.

The criticism is of the efficacy of the Microsoft JLCA v3.0 if anything.

Elsewhere in these forums, I do see that "C# is coming" for Stylus Studio.

Thanks - no offence intended.

Ian
