i'm just evaluating the new Enterpise 2007 version but i have a problem while debugging with Saxon 8.9.0.3. The variables won't be displayed and the watch doesn't work either. With my 2006 Enterprise version it works. It's the same Stylus-Project. Has anyone any ideas?!

Can you be more specific, or give an example?

Saxon now optimizes away many variable references.
So <xsl:variable name="x" select="'abc'"/>, if $x is
never used, won't ever be instantiated.

Could this be part of the problem?

My variables are also instantiated correctly. The problem is, that the watch doesn't work either although i can step through my code. I don't know why this happens because with my 2006 version it works with the same project!

I'm hoping that someone can shed more light on this topic.
I'm running the into the same problem. Saxon is the only offered processor that supports debugging of XSLT's that contain java calls. But without watch and variables the tool is significantly less value to me.

And yes, all of my variables are getting instantiated.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
