Hello,
I have xml file with number of same tags with differnt attribute, Ex:
<car id="288">
<car id="278">
<car id="458">

my problem is how to create xquery that can return all these elements attribute one by one?
i.e. first return 288, then 278, then 458

if that cannot be done in xquery, any idea please.

It's difficult to tell what you are trying to do exactly; maybe something like:

//car/@id

?

i tried what you told.. but it will not work if i have multiple row with different values. only works if i have one tag

I guess it depends on the definition of "works"; can you post (a fragment of) the XML document you are trying to query, and exactly what kind of result you would expect from the query?
