That change is necessary to enable "behaviors" in the Internet Explorer component hosted in Stylus Studio; "behaviors" are (were) used by the XSLT-based XML-to-HTML WYSIWYG component to let you control repeating blocks, lists, drop downs and more. Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't provide a more elegant/transient way to make that happen for an application.
Now, considering that the old WYSIWYG module has been discontinued, Stylus Studio 2007 rel 2 should avoid changing that registry entry (unless the user tried to re-enable the hidden old module); so, we are modifying the code to avoid doing that unless strictly necessary.
