Hi Jasbir,

Which Stylus Studio version are you running?

To which DB2 version are you trying to connect?

Rather then using Sequelink, you should be able to use the native DB2 driver.

Are you using the DB to XML Data source or File Explorer -> Relational DB?

Hope this helps

Thanks for getting back to me. Okay - lets change the direction, I tried using native connection to db2. I get to fill the following URL:

//localhost:50000;locationName=;collectionId=;packageName=

I know what is localhost, I know what the port is. But, for the life in me, I just can't figure out locationName, collectionID, and packageName. When I did a search at the webesite, it came up with JDBC documentation. Browsing that, it seems these are irrelevant; perhaps not.

Please advice.

I am using the latest version Build 735f (downloaded it yesterday). It is fully registered Enterprise version.

Connecting to db2 on linux box, db2 version 8.2.5

Okay - so I typed the following:

//hostname:90004;databaseName=TESTDB

I get the following error:

[StylusStudio][DB2 JDBC Driver]Unsupported VM encoding Cp500.

Okay - so I got rid of the cp error message above by installing jre (1.6) with international support. But, with the same connection URL specified above, I get the following error:

[StylusStudio][DB2 JDBC Driver][DB2]PROGRAM NAME DEFAULT.DDTEKA 0X4A44424334444232 NOT FOUND IN PLAN null

Please try the following.

//hostname:90004;databaseName=TESTDB;packageName=JDBCPKG;CreateDefaultPackage=TRUE

Finally got it to go. Thanks for your guidance.

Can these steps be integrated into online or online demo? It will make it easier for future reference and easier for new users to get going.

Thanks again.
