I am looking for a tool to map XML data to load into various Oracle relational schema's. Can Stylus Studio map from XML to the database? I was looking at Altova Mapforce - which was getting terrible reviews. Stylus Studio seems like a very well received product, but I do not see where it can be used to update/load into a relational DB.

Can anyone guide me I have the following problem

our project is already developed one

source data is in xml

and a tool(with xml parsing) converts xml(selected data) into text format

then text format is taken as source data for my oracleDB...

from there onwards everything is ok

here starts my questions

1. I want to directly load this xml data into my Oralce database(form of tables and columns) and i want to make reporting..(with what ever tool doesnt mind)..

can anyone guide me how can I do that and...i have some idea that i can load xml data into OracleDB by oracle xml db....but not so clear..

2.Is there any other choices to make my program easy

i know how to insert XML data into XML type tables and XML type columns(in oracleDB)....but i can just see it is as again xml data...not like text data...its all confusing....i am trying to do ..hope u will help me

Hi Art,

Stylus Studio exposes SQL UPDATE capabilities in the current version through SQL/XML

In future versions our XQuery implementation will introduce update capabilities superseding SQL/XML
