Hi all, I am totally new here, and the question probably ignorant.
Am just starting with XSL and Stylus Studio. I have a task that seems a little owerwhelming but probably has been done a 1000 times and the code alredy exist.

here is what I need to do.

1. given some RSS on the net
2. create a XSL style that will display a page with all letters of the alphabet on top
3. each letter in alphabet is a link to display all Headlines from mentioned RSS where the first letter of the first word starts with this exact letter.
4. create an XSL that displays a table with alphabetic letters as headings, under it add a list of all '1st word from all Headlines' starting with that respective letter

Any suggestions ?

Thank you all for attention

Queen

PS. a couple of nicely made indexes
http://azlist.about.com/ really nice
http://www.bbc.co.uk/a-z/a.shtml
http://www.montague.com/Public/Indexes.htm seems to use xsl even though I dont like to much the framed aproach
http://www.census.gov/acsd/www/subjects.html is ok but sometimes delivers 2 or more alphabetic letters ...

Did you want all the results in one page or in 26 (or 27) different pages?

I would probably use a key which takes the first letter of the field.
<xsl:key name="ByFirstLetter" match="subject" use="substring(.,1,1)"/>
