It depends on how your XML document is shaped.
If you post an example we will show you how.

Hope this helps

I need a simple CSV file which I can convert to excel and then add data row by row. The application I am using requires input by csv and not xml, but this xml file indicates the elements I need to include in the csv

The attached XSLT should do what you are looking for

Start Stylus Studio
Do File|New|XSLT
Use the .xml file as the input source and press OK.
Insert the .xsl file attached.
Then execute the XSLT program.

You might want to look at the XSLT videos
at http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_videos.html

Thanks Tony and Ivan for your help to date. Can I explain what I am trying to get this tool to help to achieve:

We have an application which will allow bulk upload of date via a web UI, and supports 2 types of import; csv or xml. The csv is a little messy and doesn't give us as much information as an XML would.

Also, we want to provide end users with a simple excel spreadsheet like the one attached for courses (saved as a csv). The end user would then add their rows of data, then send it back to us and we would use your tool to convert this to an xml file which we would load into the application. We have a series of these spreadsheets which we would provie to the end user to fill with the relevant data.

My question is: what would be the complete process I would go through to end up with a fully populated xml file to laod into our application. I have also provided a sample xml file of what the xml for this course data should look like (ie. what format of xml our application is expecting to see).

Appreciate any help you can give me here.

Regards,
Grant

The scope of this might be a little outside of the forum.
We can help you with specific questions about using the
tool, but not knowing more about how your whole environment
is set up makes it hard for us to give deployment advice.
