Michael LangeSubject: Convert To XML - Sub Regions
Author: Michael Lange
Date: 15 Aug 2006 10:43 AM
Hello,

I know with the Convert To XML capability I can create Regions, Rows, and Fields in the output XML file. This gives me 3 levels to work with but what if I want 4 or more?

I have attached a sample input file, sample .conv file, current output file, and a file that illustrates the kind of output I really want.

1) sampletab.txt - tab delimited input file
2) sample.conv - conv file
3) sampletab.xml - output file that sample.conv currently creates
4) sampleLevels.xml - kind of output I really would like to have

Can this be done? If so, what is the best approach?

Thanks,
Mike

Generally the approach is to use the Convert to XML output as
input to XSLT. Since with the URI resolver inside of Stylus
Studio we can treat adapter output as XML input, this is pretty
straight-forward.
