K JSubject: Logging in XSLT?
Author: K J
Date: 09 Aug 2006 09:55 AM
Hi all,

We have had some issues with some mapping of XML files. Is there any common method of logging to a file from XSLT or would an external Java function or something similar have to be written?

Thanks,

You could try xsl:message http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#message

The XSLT profiler in Stylus Studio includes a log of the
execution. It can quickly get very large, but it can also
be very useful in seeing the actual trace of an entire
XSLT transform.

See http://www.stylusstudio.com/xslt_profiler.html or go to
http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_videos.html and choose XSLT
then Optimizing XSLT Applications.
