In Stylus Studio 2006 Release 2 XML Enterprise Edition, when wanting to open a file and convert it to XML I follow the steps..
1. File -> Open
2. In the open dialog, I select my text file I want to convert, and check the Convert to XML using adapter checkbox.
3. The Select XML Converter dialog comes up, and the treeview that has Convert to XML, has children that relate to any .conv files that I created, which by default were created under C:\Program Files\Stylus Studio 2006 Release 2 XML Enterprise Edition\Adapter
In Stylus Studio 2006 Release 3 XML Enterprise Edition, I follow the same steps, and in the Select XML Converter dialog, with the treeview, the Convert to XML has no children, even though there are .conv files in C:\Program Files\Stylus Studio 2006 Release 3 XML Enterprise Edition\Adapter
In release 3, how do you select the conversion to use when opening a file??

Hi, Dylan. Yes, the documentation was not updated on this point for Release 3 -- in the past, all .conv files were saved to their own file system. Now, you can save them where you like, hence the use of the browser to locate and open them.
Revised documentation covering this behavior will ship with a future release.
