Stylus Studio will not start. No error message, nothing in the error logs, etc ... ?
I reinstalled Stylus Studio 6 Professional on my computer (Win XP Pro SP2) after reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling windows.
I used the install file "stylus-studio-professional-7r1I.exe".
It does not create the registry keys,
HKCR\stylusstudio.xml
HKCR\stylusstudio.xsd
HKCR\stylusstudio.xsl
HKCR\stylusstudio.xslt
etc.
I am an Administrator on this computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have also tried installing with the version 7 R2.
I also ran "RegMon" and check and saved the log file. There is no reference at all to "stylusstudiofile" so it looks like the install is not even trying to create these registry keys!

John,
Stylus Studio creates those registry keys when the application is run; it's not a procedure done by the installer.
But you are saying that Stylus Studio doesn't start on your machine; is that still true after all the installing/uninstalling you have performed? Do you run Stylus Studio double clicking on its desktop icon? Do you see "struzzo.exe" processes in your task manager?

Another few things to try.
- Can you download "depends.exe" (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) and run it against struzzo.exe? We need to know if any component is missing for any reason, and that utility will tell you
- Can you try installing Stylus Studio in a differen folder, like c:\stylus? We would like to rule out permission/access settings in program files
- Can you run "struzzo.exe" from the command line and see if any error is reported?
- Is Internet Explorer installed on your machine? Can you run it successfully?

Ran DependencyWalker,
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.
MSJAVA.dll not found
Note: msjava.dll does not exist anywhere on my computer.
Also, MPR.dll is highlighted (pink) not grey. Not sure if this matters?
John
I have attached the struzzo.dwi from dependeny walker.
