Mark SpittleSubject: xsl:result-document and Xalan
Author: Mark Spittle

I'm using Apache Xalan-J 2 and trying to use the result-document function.

I've tried passing it a simple file name, and a full url.

THe processor writes nothing further to the standard output file until the tag is closed but it doesn't write anything to the file either.

No error messages or warnings are produced.

Has anybody got any clues on what I've done wrong. It all works as expected with Saxone 8

xsl:result-document is from XSLT 2.0, which Saxon 8 supports, but
which Xalan does not.

You can use a Xalan-specific extension xsltc:output instead.

See http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/extensions_xsltc.html#redirect_ext
