I start to test your product for my office.
I watched the demo video on your web site and try to do the same.
Unfortunately the application freezes too often.
For example after I select New/"XSLT: WYSIWYG" I press to browse button for "Source XML URL" and the application hangs.
It also freezes when I press the "Add File To Project" button,File/Open menu or File/Save menu.
To put it simple it's impossible for me to work with your application.
I try to reinstall the software and got the same results.
My system is:
Windows XP SP2
jre1.5.0_06
Stylus Studio 2006 Release 2 XML Enterprise Edition build 591b

I check the help/about and it recognize the jre. (I also use the auto detect from the option menu)

Your demo videos are very impressive and I want to test this app.
Please help me solve this problem

Can you try disabling the JVM in Stylus Studio?

Tools > Options > Java Virtual Machine: uncheck the "Enable JVM" button.

After disabling the JVM (I close the application and open it again)
when I try to open or save a file I receive the following error dialog box:

Stylus Studio could not load the Java Virtual Machine for the following reason:
Java Runtime Environment disabled

After pressing Ok the application freezes.

Ok, that rules out JVM as a possible problem.

Do you have network drives mounted in your file system? Are you running any special Explorer extensions (GDrive? Web Folders? HP Photoshare?)? Anything peculiar about your file system configuration we should know about?

Thanks.

Yes I have network drives mounted in my file system.
I'm using Web Folders (SPS) and I have HP Photoshare installed…
I almost have them all :)

You might be hitting a recently reported problem caused by a Windows patch: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-6063785.html

The official Microsoft KB is: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165

The KB shows a how the registry should be modified to workaround the problem.
