I need to be able to iterate through each item in xml node list in an xsl file

How can i do this

It's faily easy to do that in XSLT 2.0 - where you can count on functions like "tokenize"; in XSLT 1.0 that will require some more work; you can imagine creating a recursively invoked template that makes use of the substring functions and explodes the string into an XML fragment.
