As I have developed a Version 2 xslt transformation stylesheet I keep on hitting the error "java.lang.RuntimeException: Maximum Recursion Depth exceeded". I already have the maximum setting of 500 selected in the XSLT Settings window. I have seen a topic posted here which increases the recursion limit by creating a registry entry at HCU\software\ExcelonCorporation\StylusStudio\PluginSettings called XSLTEditor: Option: RecursionLevel (REG_SZ type) and setting to 10000 but this has had no effect in my case - I think this may apply only to the internal processor. How can I increase the recursion level for the Saxon processor above the 500 limit of the user-interface?
Any clues gratefully received.

That registry key was good back in the old days, but Stylus Studio
doesn't belong to eXcelon Corporation, but is now part of DataDirect
- so we've renamed the key.

In order to answer properly, we'd need to know your version.

If you were using 2006 Enterprise, you'd use this:


Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stylus Studio\XML Enterprise Edition 2006\Plugin Settings]
"XSLT Editor: Option: RecursionLevel"=dword:00002710
