Pat ONeillSubject: What's the best tool to do this.... ??

I have a large XML file with a bunch of <transaction></transaction> sections within it (along with a bunch of other wrapper tags).

I need to pull each "transaction" out to it's own xml file with a stylesheet attached. So one input xml file should generate 5000+ output xml files.

I can write a C++ application that uses an xmlparser to pull these out and re-write all the individual xml files to disk. But I figured there must be a better way... using Stylus Studio to do this....

Would really appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks!!!

Use XSLT 2 via the Saxon processor you will be able to generate multiple output documents.

See http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt20/#element-result-document

Hope this helps
