David KarrSubject: Built very simple xslt mapper, after restarting SS, it thinks namespaced element in xslt refers to different element
Author: David Karr

I have two schemas that I started experimenting with in the mapper. I
built one link between two elements, and I added a predicate in the
source view. That looked ok, and I stored this yesterday. Today, when
I reopened that xslt, I see that instead of showing a link to the
element I wanted, it thinks I'm trying to create a new element. I'm
guessing there is some namespace issue.

I'm going to attach the two schemas, the xslt, and a word doc showing
what the "target pane" looks like now.

David,
Can you please attach InterConnectCommonDefinition.xsd.
Thanks
Clyde Kessel

Can you please also let us know what kind of link you created, between which two elements, and how you created it.
Thanks very much
Clyde

I'm not certain what you mean by the "kind" of link. I believe I
dragged from the source element to the destination element, and then I
manually added the predicate. Unfortunately, I'm now unable to repeat
this problem. I tried the same sequence, after deleting the link,
including restarting the app, and it doesn't happen anymore.

David,
You have bumped into a bug which we recently fixed. I believe it is partially fixed in 377o and is completely fixed in the latest version, Stylus Studio 2006, which we put up on the website yesterday.

I was hoping to verify that your instance is, indeed, fixed. Unfortunately, the schema files you attached require an included schema named InterConnectCommonDefinition.xsd, so I am unable to reproduce your environment.

regards,
Clyde
