Nathan PhillipsSubject: Stylus Studio User's Guide inconsistency
Author: Nathan Phillips

Hi,

This is to report an inconsistency in the Stylus Studio 6 user's guide.

In the XPath Functions Reference, on page 688, the definition of the function 'position()' is 'Position number of the node relative to the context node set.'

Under the heading 'Determining the Position Number of a Node', on page 667, the definition of the same function is 'The position() function returns an integer that indicates the position of the node within the parent.'

It appears that the position() function operates as described in the first definition - it returns the position within the context node set, not within the parent node.

Nathan

Nathan,
You are quite correct, position() is the position within the context.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
