I want to allow someone to key in an XML document using the DTD I specify. I've found how to say NEW XML document and to load it with all of the empty tags that pertain to the DTD I specify. The problem is that the DTD is huge and so the initial document contains a lot of tags that they would not typically use. How can I get Stylus to load the document with just required elements? (or maybe a template list of elements) We're looking at having keyers use Stylus to give them the initial document using the DTD to save them key strokes and then they just add the data between the tags. The keyers are keying from hard copy in cases where there is no electronic copy of the documents.

Unfortunately you have very little control over DTD-to-XML wizard and will be unable to tune it to accomplish your task. If you can use XML Schema instead DTD you can have much more control - take a look at
Tools->Options->"Module Settings"->"XML Schema Editor"->"XML Schema To XML" for details.
