Use format-number
<xsl:value-of select="format-number(mynumericvalue, '000')"/>
Hope this helps

Append Time to Date

Sravan,
If you need to tranform (1 1) to 011
then you could use a more compact solution
<DO name="Age">
<DV type="java.lang.String">
<xsl:value-of select="format-number(translate(., ' ()', ''), '000')"/>
</DV>
</DO>
If your field stores only the date, from where you getting the time to append?
Posting a sample of your input XML and the desired result is the quickest way.
Hope this helps
