Im new to the XML language....but going through the help.

I got to the last chapter db xml from database
Created rdbxml.

Now i am not sure what to do with this..I was assuming it would be saved as an XML then i can add a stylesheet to this.

Any one give me the general picture.

Thanks

All im trying to do is get data from SQL and display this in a page with some XSL-FO to format the page into differnt sizes for labels

You don't have to explicitly save the XML output by your SQL/XML to a
file in order to run the XSLT to produce the FO that creates the labels
PDF.

1. Creating the SQL/XML query and save it in the special DB filesystem.
2. Create a new XSLT transform, and for the input, choose the DB
filesystem, and choose the SQL/XML you saved in step 1.
3. On the post-process tab, set Apache FOP as the outputter.
4. Now, create your XSLT that produces XSL FO.

Each time you run the XSLT, you will pull fresh data from your database
and it will be piped directly through your XSLT into the PDF.

I have to hit the big green button to reload the data then it works...i cannot just execute the XSLT it returns old data..then when hit button to reload it does.

By 'big green button' do you mean the green triangle that points to
the right? That _is_ the execute button. What else are you using?
