Hi,

why is there no macro for XML validation? There exists on for well-formed checks. This seems inconsistent to me.

Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,
the dialog that assigns a shortcut to a menu command merges all the menus, and display only the first entry found for each command that appears in multiple menus: so in the case of "Validate Document" you should look for "XMLSchema: Validate Document" instead of "XML: Validate Document"

Hope this helps,
Alberto

Thanks,

that works. But i have anothe rquestion ;-)

I tried to assign F9 to "XMLSchema: Validate Document", but nothing happened when i pressed F9. Then i assigned Ctrl+F9 and that works fine.

Kind regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
the reason why you cannot use F9 as a macro key is because it's used to set/clear breakpoints in the various editors (XSLT, Java, XQuery).

Hope this helps,
Alberto
