I would like to see the date timestamp when the thread was created.

I would like to see this extra information next to the subject in the Conference panel.

Then I know at a glance when the thread was started which I feel is important.

Re: date/time stamps/formatting in SSDN, we looked into this today, unfortunately the forums are powered by a 3rd party application which does not offer this kind of customization. Its not something that is 'hackable' either because most of the message formatting seems to be done in some kind of binary executable and we don't have access to the source code. Sorry about that.
