Hi,

The Stylus XSL processor does not support (xsl:number) yet. It is usually possible to use the position() function to obtain the same result.

The message you've read, from November 29, 1999, is long outdated. Stylus supports xsl:number. You can download a trial of the latest version, or contact support for an upgrade if you own a Stylus license.
